Care
We want your garment to last wash after wash and with the right care you can make sure to prolong the life of your new t-shirt. With a bit of extra care, your Monotiny piece will stay with you for a long time to come.
Garment
Material
All the t-shirts are made from 100% ring-spun cotton and the stitches are carefully put in place with thin layer of cloth on the inside of the garment.
Embroidery
The stitches vary depending on the design and there are mainly three types: Satin stitch which is used for the outline of a graphic design which most of Monotiny's t-shirts use, run stitch which is a single line stitch used for more detailed designs and Tatami fill that uses a run of stitches to fill an area of the graphic design.
Care instructions
To help your Monotiny piece last as long as possible:
- Turn the t-shirt inside out before washing to protect the embroidery.
- Avoid tumble drying when possible — air drying helps preserve both fabric and thread.
- If any embroidery threads start to loosen, it’s perfectly fine to trim them carefully. They’re securely sewn into the fabric and won’t unravel.
- Avoid ironing directly on top of the embroidery area.
- For lasting softness, try to avoid harsh deodorants that may change the fabric’s feel beneath the arms.
